Job Responsibilities:
· Translate product requirements into functional specifications and build software that meets those requirements.
· Work with and coordinate activities with other Yahoo! teams that provide data or services.
· Contribute to the continual improvement of our Agile development processes
· Maintain up-to-date documentation on processes and code
Minimum Job Qualifications:
· BS Computer Science
· Strong command of CSS, HTML/XHTML, XML/XSLT, DOM methods and properties, AJAX, Javascript, Interactive Design Principles, Cross-browser development and browser degradation strategies.
· Excellent debugging and testing skills
· Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills to work with various cross functional teams on multi-team projects
· Good experience in PHP.
· Must have strong knowledge and keen interest in emerging tools and technologies in the industry
Preferable Job Qualifications:
· Good knowledge of C/C++, Java or similar back-end language is a plus
· 5+ years of industry experience
· Good DB and SQL skills especially with MySQL
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Fast learner - can quickly come up to speed with different technologies and develop prototypes if required
