Description:

Your job will entail conceptualize, design, development and maintenence of web application working with peers & architects to insure interoperability and maximize reuse and ensure "wow" user experiences on Yahoo! Toolbar. You will be expected to be completely hands-on and work as part of a team or lead a leat to successfully deliver projects. A key success factor will be the ability to create products with widespread use and impact.

Experience Profile:

• 8+ years experience with Web Development.
• Strong hands-on experience on PHP, Java Script, HTML/CSS and on any flavor of Unix
• Exposure to OOP, scripting (Perl, Shell), scalability and performance tuning of internet applications is strongly desirable
• Strong hands-on experience with Web technologies, Web standards & protocols, Browser internals is a plus
• Strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills
• Ability to learn new topics and technologies quickly
• Self directed, highly motivated individual 
• B.Tech/BE degree in CS/IT or MCA from a reputed college is highly desirable

QA LEAD

Responsibilities:

· As a QE Lead within the Yahoo! Engineering Team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of QA Engineering tasks including manual test design and execution of UI and API level tests for Java application, design and development of automation test Framework with Selenium, coding and executing automated test scripts.
· Work closely with Development (UI), Quality Engineering, Product Management and Technical Operations during the development, test, and launch stages of the software development and release cycle
· Develop test Frameworks (Java/Selenium ) for UI regression test automation and when necessary, execute manual UI testing and unit test automation (Java/JUnit/TestNG)
· Define test plans and test specifications for functional, unit, integration and performance testing, as well as the execution of test cases, and reporting product failures (Bugzilla)
· Create and execute complex database queries to validate database (Oracle 10g/9i; MySQL?) performance and integrity
· Follow project milestones; design, implement, document, and execute tests; evaluate and communicate results; and investigate product features (including ad hoc testing)

Requirements:

· B Tech/MS in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering degree.
· Expert in QE methodologies, procedures & documentation. Extensive test planning and test strategy development experience.
· Experience with UI automated test and performance tools
· Experience in Java / C++ and XML
· Experience in Web-based GUI testing of Java/J2EE applications
· Experience with the design, development and testing of complex queries (SQL, Pl/SQL) and data retrieval (Stored Procedures, Triggers) from very large OLAP/OLTP relational databases or data marts/warehouses (Oracle, Teradata, MySQL?)
· Proficiency in UNIX development environments/servers, preferably Linux/FreeBSD (Shell Scripting, Perl)
· Customer-focused, ability to; triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and multi-task on multiple products and projects
· Experience with scripting languages including Perl, Ruby, PHP, XML, Shell Scripts, etc.
· Experience with Flex/Flash application testing
· Experience with Advanced Ad Format products testing (Rich Media Ads, Video Ads etc)
· Development experience with Java/J2EE technologies, e.g. EJB, JDBC, JMS, JBoss, Hibernate, Struts
· Experience with Unit Testing framework tools like JUnit, HTTPUnit, XMLUnit, PHPUnit, DBUnit, Etc.

·         Demonstrated experience with using the MySQL database a plus

·         Fast learner - can quickly come up to speed with different technologies and develop prototypes if required
